Episode Twenty Six - Alexa - Still Stoked.

Alexa is the force behind StillStoked.com, the online community for women in adventure sports.

Alexa herself is one of the most adventurous & hardcore women I know, with a background in competitive snowboarding, backcountry guiding, a keen surfer, and just an all-round world adventurer. Alexa is a woman on a mission, and the energy she has put into creating a supportive platform for women in a traditionally male dominated field comes from her own experiences in these spaces.

From being the director and producer of the first ever all-women’s snowboard film and a lead mountain guide in Japan, whilst leading a successful career in advertising she has real experiences and powerful stories to share.

Her clarity of vision is infectious. Her commitment to her own values is uncompromising. From the brands she works with to the messages she shares, they are all aligned to her goals of empowering women in active pursuits, telling tales untold, and doing so with one eye on her greater ambition to support environmental causes.

In this episode Alexa shines a light on the challenges women athletes face. She discusses the world of social media and the role that we the “viewer” might be playing in perpetuating the very thing that Alexa, Still Stoked & thousands of powerful female athletes are working to eradicate.

I’m so stoked I can provide a platform to help get her message out.
